Privacy Policy
This policy explains how uPVC Window Quotes ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data when you request window quotes through this website, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
uPVC Window Quotes is a quote-comparison service that matches homeowners with vetted local window installers. We do not manufacture or fit windows ourselves. We are the data controller for the personal data you submit through our quote form.
What we collect
When you complete our quote form we collect the details you provide:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your postcode
- Whether you own your home (to check the enquiry is eligible)
We also automatically collect marketing attribution data so we understand how our service is found and reached. This includes campaign source and referral information (such as UTM values), advertising click identifiers (for example Google and Meta ad click ids), the page you first arrived on, your browser user-agent and your IP address.
How we use your data and our legal basis
We use your details to process your quote request and to pass qualified enquiries to a matched local installer who can provide your quote. Our legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in operating a quote-matching service. Marketing attribution data is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in measuring and improving our marketing.
How we will contact you
We, or the matched installer we pass your enquiry to, will contact you by phone, directly in relation to the window quote application you made. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
Qualified enquiries may be passed to a matched installer so they can prepare and provide your quote. We also use trusted service providers who help us host the site and manage enquiries, who act on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which it is deleted or anonymised, unless we are required to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation. Marketing attribution identifiers stored in your browser expire after 90 days.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We set first-party cookies to remember marketing attribution. See our cookie policy for full details.
How to contact us
To ask about your data or exercise your rights, contact us via the enquiry details on this website. We will respond within one month.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
